Our priority is to boost literacy and confidence through engaging tales that foster a love for reading. By offering a range of dyslexia-friendly books and resources, we strive to create an inclusive environment where every child can thrive in their literary journey.
Our Philosophy
At Dapple Grey Press, our core belief is that every child should get to enjoy reading, no matter how confident they feel or what struggles they face. That's why we publish awesome stories for those who find traditional books tough, like kids with dyslexia or other reading hurdles. Our stories are professionally reviewed and edited to ensure accessibility without sacrificing plot or characters.
But you won't see the words "dyslexia-friendly" or "struggling reader" anywhere on our covers. We prefer "reading-level neutral." And even then, that's just our philosphy - it doesn't take up valuable cover space!
Let's be honest. No struggling reader wants to carry around a book that has a label that makes them feel less than amazing. We want these readers and their confident-reading friends to enjoy the SAME stories in the same format. For some the books will be a quick read; for others, more challenging. Either way, everyone carries the same book around. And the stories inside don't talk down to the readers.
